Welcome to the ‘UoB Friends of BCH (Birmingham Children’s Hospital)’ Group!
This group is open to any UoB student who is interested in positively contributing to the hospital experience of the children at the BCH.
Friends of BCH is a charity that works with the Birmingham Children’s Hospital to help the young patients feel as comfortable as possible during their stay at the hospital. We hope to achieve this goal by providing dedicated volunteers to the hospital, getting involved with BCH Charity events and organising our own exciting fundraisers here at the university!
If you are interested in working with children or would enjoy fundraising for an excellent cause, we hope you jump on board our Team! The time commitment can vary, depending on whether you take on a regular shift at the hospital; volunteering on the wards, at clinics or at one off events, or help organise and take part in some of our termly fundraising events such as the Great Birmingham Half Marathon, Pub Quizzes, Cake Sales, Bucket Shakes, and many more!
We are looking for active and enthusiastic members who enjoy working with children.
