The Official page for the UBMS Hockey team!
Welcome to UBMSHC (University of Birmingham Medical Society Hockey Club), the biggest (and best) sports club in Medsoc! We are a mixed hockey club catering for all abilities, from our 1s who are reigning national champions, to our newly created super social 5s. Training take place on Wednesdays and Fridays with matches most weekends. Our 1s and 2s compete in the National Association of Medical Schools (NAMS) league against other medical schools across the country and our 2s, 3s and 4s play in the intra-university Campus League, against other courses and departments within the uni. But if playing hockey isn’t really for you, you can still get involved in our many, many socials throughout the year, including Blank Canvas (a paint party), Christmas Dinner and Superhero Hockey. And then there are the infamous tours, both domestic and international, with previous years seeing us travel to Naples, Barcelona and Lisbon.
