Immunology and Microbiology Society (IMSoc) have had a fantastic year at the University of Birmingham. Despite a difficult year, we were able to exceed our aims during the 2020-21 academic year and look forward to what 2021-22 will bring!
Last year we were able to expand on World AIDS Days mini-conference with our first day-long conference. We were able to bring together a large variety of healthcare professionals to talk about their experiences of and reflections on the first-wave COVID pandemic which was highly successful and attended by over 80 people across the world.
We’ve continued to expand our ever-popular lecture series with more talks covering a whole range of topics within immunology and microbiology. We will continue to work hard to develop and improve these lectures throughout the year to ensure students can get the best prep possible for those dreaded exams!
