The Phoenix Project Birmingham

Are you Interested in supporting displaced doctors on their journey into the NHS, meeting like-minded people with a passion for supporting refugee rights, and learning invaluable teaching and communication skills on the way?

The Phoenix Project Birmingham is a charity that seeks to support displaced healthcare professionals in the UK through a multitude of means. As a charity our core activities involve:

  • Provide teaching sessions to our participants across the West Midlands to help them prepare for their occupational English language tests
  • Create and distribute educational resources for both participants and students alike to improve understandings of NHS functions and peoples’ experiences within the system
  • Fundraise and campaign to improve the access and rights of displaced individuals, both in relation to NHS services and wider issues
