Calling all adventurers and nature lovers! Whether you want to take your medical career to the extremes of planet Earth, or simply want to enjoy the great outdoors with a brilliant bunch of people, the Wilderness Medicine Society has something for you!
The pinnacle of the Wilderness year is our famous weekend away: a highlight of the MedSoc calendar! The weekend takes place at a different location in the UK each year and includes hikes in beautiful scenery, simulated casualty scenarios and skills workshops from leading lights in the field.
The virtual Birmingham International Extreme Medicine Symposium will be returning. Last year’s conference had expert speakers from countries including Canada and South Africa, with talks ranging from space medicine to humanitarian aid and careers advice.
Finally, there will be an exciting new wilderness skills day soon after fresher’s week so keep checking our socials for more details.
